On Monday, American gaming company SciPlay, which develops casino and casual mobile games, announced their acquisition of Israeli mobile-casual-gaming startup, Come2Play. Exciting news for the Tel Aviv based startup, even though the buyout amount has yet to be made public knowledge.

Mobile games here, there, everywhere

Come2Play’s games already have proven success behind them with over a million downloads from Google Play. The American company noted that they intend to acquire Come2Play and their 40 employee-team in order to bring revenue growth and upgrade their games while also further expanding SciPlay’s gaming portfolio.

Come2Play’s 10 Israel-based employees will join SciPlay’s Tel Aviv R&D center, while the rest of the team in the Ukraine office will continue developing and operating Come2Play games.

SciPlay’s Global CMO, Noga Halperin Sher referred to the fresh acquisition saying: “We are very excited to bring on the wonderful Come2Play team, mostly because we feel that we share a compatible vision towards company culture and product management.”

Halperin Sher continued to add that: “We believe that with our knowledge and capabilities, Come2Play’s games will experience exponential growth. Needless to say, this is a big vote of confidence in our Tel Aviv team, as we continue to grow here in Israel. Further, cementing themselves as an invaluable part of SciPlay’s global operations.”
