Are you looking for some fun, sometimes violent retail therapy? Then check out these popular games on Kickstarter

Are you thinking of buying games as holiday gifts? Or just looking for some retail therapy given the sad state of affairs this week? In either case, there are a bunch of games right now on Kickstarter that could be worth your while.

Without further ado, here are the three most popular trending games on Kickstarter as of Friday.

1. Bears vs Babies – A Card Game

If you are a fan of Exploding Kittens, the most funded Kickstarter game project of all time, and The Oatmeal, you may appreciate Bears vs Babies. Created by the founders of Exploding Kittens, Bears vs Babies is a card game where you create armies of bears and other creatures to eat babies. Though absurd, and perhaps too obviously inspired by the difficulties of being a young parent, it is a supposedly kid-friendly game for ages 7+. If you feel like laughing a little and are a fan of dead baby humor, this could be your thing. It’s also affordable, just $25 for one deck.

The project has raised a whopping $2,456,823 so far and lasts for only another 6 days. So if you would like to show some babies who’s boss, you have a limited time to do so.

Also, that one dragon baby (yes, dragon baby, not baby dragon) at 02:15 is really, really creepy.

2. Feudum: A nuanced game of hand & resource management

Are you looking for a challenge? Do you want to make feudalism great again? Just kidding … about the last one, that is.

In all seriousness, this seems like an interesting strategy game where 2-5 players battle it out to conquer resources in feudal regions. With 34 days to go, Feudum has already raised almost twice as much as its original goal of $49,000. Priced starting at $59, this Missouri-based, fief-friendly game ships to anywhere in the world.

3. Mythic Battles: Pantheon

From a gaming company based in Carson City, Nevada and available in English and French, Mythic Battles: Pantheon is a beautifully designed miniatures board game where you get to fight against Greek Gods, heroes, and monsters in Olympian times. The game has raised an astonishing $757,707, almost 10 times more than their original funding target and with 20 days left in the campaign. For $99, this complex 2-4 player game aimed at ages 14+ could be yours.
