The best 14 technology companies to work for in the US

Most of us are humble folk. We barely ask anything of our workplace: to make excellent salary, enjoy a professional challenge, work in a calm place, and if possible, work for a prestigious and trendy company. But what is considered the best company to work for? Business Insider, in cooperation with Payscale, which deals with salary calculations and valuations in the American hi-tech scene, created a ranking of the best 14 technology companies to work for.

For this rating, the researchers analyzed all of the technology company in the Fortune 500 list, weighing the score according to six criteria: level of satisfaction,stress levels, the possibility to work from home, are the positions meaningful, the median salary for workers with over 5 years of experience in their field, and is the company paying its employees more or less than customary in the markets.

The study writers said that Alphabet, who took the throne from Facebook, is “infamous” for spoiling its American workers with treats such as free gourmet food, massages at the office, free gym and classes, and many vacation days. The workers mentioned, among the rest, that in Google they enjoy the opportunity to work on interesting and creative projects. This year Google added 9,000 positions, compared to last year.
