Geektime is proud to present a new and improved database of the Irish startup ecosystem

Ireland, whose growing economy has fondly been referred to as the Celtic Tiger (pre-recession) and Celtic Phoenix in recent years, has been generating a lot of buzz. Many of the international tech giants, such as Google, Facebook, and Twitter, have European headquarters there and cities like Dublin are ablaze with startups.

As part of our mission to re-connect the global startup ecosystem and provide a stage for innovation and startups from all over the world, we’ve decided to re-publish our newly improved open source database of the Irish startup ecosystem. We’ve already published several posts, such as 9 Irish women founders that are making their own startup luck, 20 Irish startups stars and 12 influencers in this ecosystem.

In this database you’ll find details about Ireland’s startups, investors, funding rounds, exits, IPOs, accelerators, incubators, co-working spaces and much more. Our database can be found here.

Feel free to add, edit, or comment. The idea is to crowdsource information for the benefit of the entire Irish startup ecosystem. If you’re not on the list and would like to add your name, feel free to do so. Also, if you’re an angel investor and would like to amend your entry, please do. We hope this list will be useful to Irish investors and startups as well as to individuals all over the world looking for an entry point into the Irish market.

The file is already up-to-date with names and contact details of almost 1,500 startups and more than 20 angel investors who actively invest in Irish startups. You can also learn about important events, past and future, from our spreadsheet.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions about this crowdsourcing experiment, please share your opinions in the comments below.
