The Singapore-based app will allow users to save films for offline viewing, queue videos and discover new shows with a mere swipe
The two-year-old startup first launched its web app for mobile devices in June 2013 when founders Ho Jia Jian and Derek Tan realized that 40% of traffic to the website was coming from smartphones and tablets.

Users of Viddsee will now be able to do a lot more than just watch: They can discover new films with a mere swiping gesture, auto-download films for offline viewing at a later time when their devices are connected to WiFi, and put videos on queue to create a playlist.
“These features address our users’ needs, as over 40% of them access our platform daily for high quality short films and entertainment from Asia,” said Tan. “We designed this app for mobile users who are typically restricted to data connectivity and accessibility.”
CNET‘s reviewer notes that the more than 700 films listed on the platform were of impressively high quality. As Hollywood learned a long time ago, a country’s entertainment is one of its most effective PR tools. Viddsee seems to have adapted this approach to our digital times. Soon, teens everywhere might be rattling off lines from their favorite Malaysian movies.
