MyNextRun’s next investment
“We are extremely happy to get the support of investors who have successfully built and advised high growth companies” Sami Granfors, CEO of MyNextRun, said in a statement on the funding. “We started our international expansion last year and we already serve almost 400 running events around Europe. Our volumes have grown 700% year-on-year and with the help of the new financing we expect to reach our ambitious growth targets also for this year.”
Founded in 2010 by Granfors, Emma Huovinen and Tatu Mäkilä, MyNextRun is a platform that compiles running events and lets users register for them. With more than 300 event partners in 35 countries, the platform has almost 15,000 events listed. For running events, the platform offers a way to receive online registrations and for runners the platform helps runners find new events and register easily online. The platform also includes event reviews, newsletters and a shop that offers clothing and other running gear.
The company will use the funding to grow its customer base in Europe and continue its product development.
