It sounds almost too good to be true, but Popcorn Time and the developer community are now providing even more. A revolutionary software update provides current series in high quality.

One of the biggest dreams of veteran users of the streaming movie service is coming true: a new version of Popcorn Time, bearing the number 2.8.1, which adds a whole new category to the popular software and allows users to choose from a variety of TV series to watch for free.

Over the last week there were a number of revolutions on Popcorn Time. For no apparent reason, GitHub put up and took down the project several times, but we can speculate that the operation was done by the management of GitHub itself, as a result of pressure from movie studios in the United States. But just when it seemed that the teams that worked on the software development had begun to despair, a number of brave teams emerged that have continued to work on developing parallel software. The two most prominent today are Time4Popcorn.eu and Get-Popcorn.com.

On the map: supported by Chromecast and Android

The first team, Time4Popcorn.eu, is an interesting one and already launch a version a few days ago that includes films and another option to navigate and select series. This means that the power of the software has doubled, and it contains the option to watch every episode of any popular series, such as Breaking Bad, House, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and more. However, it is important to note that the staff took the source code, modified it slightly and closed it.

The main change is actually the sharing method: Watching a movie is done through streaming a torrent file but without sharing (Seed), thus going against the original version of Popcorn Time. However, the team behind the project said recently in an interview with TorrentFreak that they plan to add this option to the next version of the software, along with a customized version for the Android operating system, which will be available to download and open source in the next two weeks. In addition, the team plans to support Google’s built-in Chromecast plug-in that will allow users to stream the movie directly to their TVs using Google’s streamer.

Currently, the updated version of Popcorn Time from Time4Popcorn.eu allows direct viewing of a variety of series available for download only on the Windows operating system. It however has not yet added support for subtitles in the series.

It is important to note that although we tried to watch series through Popcorn Time multiple times, we were unable to start the series themselves a few times, but it is likely that this is because it is still beta versions.

In addition, Time4Popcorn.eu ensures that the following versions of the software will know to run even more files to MP4 detail, so that the number of sources for torrents will rise, and with that, the available chapters.

This is not the official Popcorn Time project. They have forked from the open-source GitHub project and are distributing it without credit.
