Social media management dashboard HootSuite announced the adoption of two Israeli apps into its internal marketplace; 12Mass and twtrland. So what exactly does that mean, and how can these Israel based apps help you manage your social profiles?

Meet the platform

In the off chance that you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting HootSuite, the social media management dashboard allows users, businesses and organizations to manage their total social presence from a single place. Through the application users can post tweets and statuses, launch marketing campaigns, identify and grow community audiences and even schedule the publication of various posts.

The platform supports a variety of popular social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn , Foursquare and WordPress, and enables the management of multiple accounts, individual business development, branding and so on. Alongside the clear social benefit that the company offers, it also offers a wide range of third party applications which can be added at the users discretion.

Today (Thursday) the first two Israeli apps have been added to the HootSuite; 12Mass and Twtrland.

12Mass

Everyday, organizations, companies and brands send out hundreds and even thousands of Tweets through their Twitter accounts. In most cases, these are responses to other tweets were individuals mentioned the company brand and/or activity related to that brand. Social Media Managers are constantly monitoring the Social Verse to interact with users whenever a relevant opening pops up for them to engage in a brand promoting conversation.

12Mass offers a solution for publishing RSS Tweets to users in a more personal fashion, allowing them to focus on different groups according to filtered parameters. The app allows the business owners to create five different responses to keywords and FAQs, so SM managers can automate their user engagement in a far more targeted fashion.

To help SM managers seek and find relevant members for their target community the company offers an advanced filtering feature that can be set to search for tweets that include things like multimedia, a specific references or that originates from a user with a fixed minimum amount of followers.

It’s important to note that the posting of tweets is not performed automatically or immediately, but rather the presumed appropriate response is attached to a tweet and it’s up to the SM manager to confirm that the response indeed fits the Tweet before sending it out.

While the service is aimed at premium customers of HootSuite, all users can add the application to their system for the price of a $1.99. You can try the service out on their official site where you will also find add-ons and additional services besides Twitter, such as the RSS feed option.

Twtrland

Brands and companies love their social media statistics. With the right tools, we can understand which elements increase community engagement and which make users run away, never to come back. Twtrland, which as it’s name suggests,  focuses primarily on Twitter, offers analytics services for public and private profiles. The goal of the service is to give brands a better understanding about their profile, and even about other brands, with information on statistics and the total social reach of their tweets.

Such information can help brand owners better understand what their communities are thinking about them and therefore, how better to relate to them. For example, if the user wrote a bad review of a brand, the brand owner will know the statistical reach that review will have and whether it’s worth responding to or not.

The most significant advantage is that companies can identify a profiles affect in certain areas. For example a profile promoting cooking utensils or food products can identify the most influential user profiles in this sector on Twitter, contact them personally and make them the primary audience of their posts. The hope being that these influencers will help spread the brand name to their following.

Twtrland is designed for any size businesses, or even individuals who want to increase their exposure through key influencers in their sectors. The app is available for free download directly from HootSuite’s app store.
